Work & education · nursing in progress
I’m a California Certified Nursing Assistant and BSN candidate with direct-care experience in skilled nursing and sub-acute care. Before healthcare, I worked in business banking, marketing, leadership, and web projects.
Professional snapshot
Graduation, licensure plans, availability, and location—up front.
Nightingale College, concept-based BSN with supervised clinical rotations.
I plan to take the NCLEX-RN in May or June 2027 after graduation.
My skilled-nursing background lines up most naturally with medical-surgical or telemetry, while I remain open to other units with structured new-graduate support. Night shift and rotating schedules are fine.
Following RN licensure. Based in the East Bay, California, and open to roles across the Bay Area and Sacramento region.
The 1,000+ figure refers to paid CNA bedside work. Supervised BSN clinical hours are documented separately through Nightingale College and are not included in that number.
Healthcare experience
Paid CNA work and supervised BSN clinical training make up the core of my current experience.
Provide resident-centered support with activities of daily living, mobility, transfers, repositioning, vital signs, intake and output observations, comfort, infection-prevention practices, and timely reporting of changes in condition to licensed nurses across skilled-nursing and sub-acute care.
Developing clinical judgment through coursework, simulation, and supervised clinical practice. Under supervision, experience includes head-to-toe assessment, wound and urostomy care, insulin administration, IV discontinuation, nebulizer treatment, mobility support, patient teaching, SBAR, medication safety, and care planning.
I also built a multi-route pharmacology practice tool with answer rationales to turn repeated review into something interactive and usable.
Earlier experience
Banking taught me to handle sensitive information carefully, document what happened, and explain unfamiliar processes without talking down to people. Marketing and web work taught me to ask what someone actually needs and turn an unclear request into something useful.
Selected experience
These are the roles most relevant to the way I work today.
Skilled-nursing experience centered on safety, ADLs, mobility, observation, dignity, communication, and dependable shift routines.
Supported relationship and portfolio work for business clients, used Salesforce and banking systems, and gained exposure to credit, treasury, merchant services, underwriting, and healthcare banking.
Worked with website, advertising, content, and project-management platforms to improve digital presence and execute client-facing work.
Retail, food service, events, student leadership, and tutoring built practical habits in service recovery, communication, training, presentation, and teamwork.
Education
The combination matters: science and clinical learning sit beside formal study in business, marketing, Japanese language and culture, behavioral science, and the humanities.
BSN pathway focused on patient-centered care, clinical judgment, health assessment, medication safety, therapeutic communication, and supervised clinical practice. Current GPA: 3.84; inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in August 2026.
Graduated with a 3.82 GPA; minor in Japanese Language & Culture; served as president of the American Marketing Association chapter.
Concentrations across Math & Science, Behavioral/Social Sciences, and Arts & Humanities, with Honors Scholar recognition.
Credentials & learning
Nursing credentials come first. The business and leadership courses are here if you want the longer version.
